Megelli Motorcycles in the Press
Australia gets all HOT AND BOTHERED for Megelli in September 2009.

Motorcyclists Online - November 2007 2008 Megelli 125M, 125S and 125R: Megelli might sound very Italian, but it is a very British company. The bikes are just as European as many other 125's and 75% of all the parts are made in Taiwan including the SYM 125cc engine. All other design and engineering (styling, frame...) is carried out in the UK. The SOHC engine makes 11bhp @ 8.500rpm and 9Nm @ 7.500rpm. Electric starter and a 5-speed gearbox are included. The trellis frame and swing arm are striking features along with modern design.
MCA Online - 14 December 2007 "The popularity of these bikes has been down to low cost, appealing particularly to European 17 to 20 year olds looking for reasonably priced, practical and fun means of transport. Despite the growth in sales, which is particularly strong with Chinese built product, until now it is fair to say that the frequently dated or copied designs and low production quality has limited the appeal and sales from reaching their full potential.
Recognising that the turning point for motorcycles in the 60s and 70s was the moment that good design met Japanese manufacturing efficiencies and low production costs and that echoes of this moment are resonating within the industry again, he spotted an opportunity to harness the situation to the benefit of his UK based company. By combining European design and production standards, and harnessing Chinese production with UK management, a new European brand could deliver product to fill the growing demand with a great looking quality design, at a very reasonable price.
